kelly b: My name is Kelly. I have 17 years of recovery behind me. At the age of 14 I went on my first diet. At the age of 26 I sought recovery from that diet. In the years between, I used many different ways of coping. Drugs, alcohol, cutting, and relationships that were very unhealthy. But I always went back to my eating disorder. Nothing numbed me quite the way food (or the absence of it) did. My wish for this website is to show that recovery is possible. I hope that by telling my story and what helped me will inspire others to choose recovery. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.
